Towards digital take off (part 2)

This presentation was prepared at the midway point of an action research project into the integration of the school's portal. The research is three tiered: self learning, student learning and teacher learning.

The first level of study focuses on learning more about the the portal and associated web 2.0 applications through reading related literature, keeping a reflective journal (this blog) and exploring the portal's features. Using the portal with students: virtual classrooms, blogs, wikis and online surveys is at the second level of the research. Finally, assisting colleagues to integrate the portal in their classes, through 1-1 and group coaching sessions, forms the most critical part of the project. Critical, because if enough teachers take up the opportunity to transform their teaching and learning practice, then we are closer to digital take-off and e-maturity.
